The problem this solves
The moment a company posts a role your product makes easier is the moment its budget, its pain and its decision-maker all become visible at once. Two weeks later the posting is one of hundreds, the manager is interviewing, and the window for introducing a tool that changes the plan has narrowed. Sales teams know this and still miss it, because watching job boards for every ICP company is nobody's job.
A standing Monday mission makes it a habit without making it work. The criteria are fixed - the ICP band and the role - and the only thing that changes each week is which companies newly match. Posting the list into #sales with the hiring manager already verified means the first message can go out the same morning, while the posting is still fresh enough to quote.
How the mission runs
- Find new postings for the role. Every Monday the Signals Agent searches hiring data for <role> and its close variants posted in the last 14 days, and keeps the companies whose first matching posting falls inside that window, so long-running searches do not reappear each week.
- Filter to the ICP. Firmographics confirm <industry>, <headcount band> and <region> for each company. Companies outside the band are discarded, and existing customers are removed using your CRM or an attached list.
- Find and verify the hiring manager. People search identifies the VP or Director of the function the role belongs to, and the email finder plus verification produce a deliverable address. Postings that name a manager are matched to that person first.
- Post to #sales with the CSV. The week's companies are posted to #sales with one line each - company, role, posting date, manager - and a CSV attached with the full rows. Companies posted in earlier weeks are excluded, so the thread only ever shows new movers.
The prompt
This is the exact objective the agent receives. Swap the obvious placeholders for your own domain, segment or channel and run it as-is from the console, Slack, or the API.
What comes back
A Monday post in #sales listing every ICP-fit company that started hiring a <role> in the last 14 days, with the posting title and date and the hiring manager's name, title and verified email, plus a CSV of the same rows. The mission keeps a record of what it has posted, so each week's list contains only companies the channel has never seen.
Make it yours
- Track two or three roles and get a section per role in the same post.
- Deliver to a HubSpot list or create tasks for territory owners instead of posting to Slack.
- Add the job-post opener playbook so each row arrives with a two-line first touch drafted from the posting.
- Rank the post by headcount growth as well as posting date so the fastest-growing companies lead.
Frequently asked questions
How does it know a posting is new rather than reposted?
It records the first date it saw each company posting the role and only treats companies as new when that first date falls inside the window.
What if the ICP changes?
Edit the criteria in the thread and the next Monday's run uses the new band; the mission notes the change in its post.
Can the cadence be daily?
Yes, though weekly gives enough new companies to be worth reading; daily suits high-volume roles or large ICPs.
Can it exclude companies already in an open sequence?
Yes. Connect the outreach tool or the CRM and companies with an active sequence or an open deal are skipped, with the count noted in the post.
What if a company posts the role again after a gap?
A repost after 90 days is treated as new, since the need has returned; shorter gaps are treated as the same search and the company is not posted again.
