The problem this solves
Intent data answers the question every seller asks and nobody can answer from a static list: who is thinking about this right now. A company researching <topic> this week has a problem someone has been asked to solve, and it will choose a vendor in the coming weeks whether or not you are in the conversation. The data exists; what is usually missing is the join to fit and to a real person.
Ranking matters as much as detection. Hundreds of companies may show some activity on a topic; the ones worth a rep's morning are the ones with a strong score, rising momentum and a profile that matches your ICP. Cutting to that set, adding the buyer with a verified address, and delivering the top 25 where the team works turns a feed into a queue.
How the mission runs
- Pull this week's intent on the topic. The Signals Agent queries intent data for companies with research activity on <topic> in the last seven days, capturing the score and the change against the previous period as momentum.
- Rank and filter to the ICP. Companies are ranked by score weighted by momentum, then firmographics remove those outside your industries, headcount band and regions. Existing customers are excluded.
- Find and verify the likely buyer. People search identifies the person who would own a purchase in the topic's category and the email finder plus verification produce a deliverable address, recorded with its status.
- Deliver the top 25 and the full list. The top 25 are posted to #sales with company, score, momentum and buyer on one line each, and the full ranked list is emailed to you as a CSV from Gmail.
The prompt
This is the exact objective the agent receives. Swap the obvious placeholders for your own domain, segment or channel and run it as-is from the console, Slack, or the API.
What comes back
A #sales post with the 25 highest-intent ICP-fit companies researching <topic> this week - score, momentum, the likely buyer with a verified email - and an email to you with the full ranked list as a CSV. The report states how many companies showed activity on the topic and how many survived the ICP cut, so the 25 can be read against the whole.
Make it yours
- Run it every Monday as a standing mission and exclude companies posted in the previous four weeks.
- Track three topics and post a section per topic.
- Send the top 25 straight into an Apollo or Lemlist sequence with the intent-referencing outreach playbook.
- Score each company for fit and blend fit with intent to rank the top 25.
Frequently asked questions
What does momentum add to the score?
The score says how much research is happening; momentum says whether it is rising. A moderate score that doubled this week is often a better lead than a high, flat one.
How is the likely buyer chosen?
From the topic's category mapped to the function that buys it, with seniority chosen to match the company's size. The reasoning is shown per row.
Can the ICP cut be loosened?
Yes. Ask for the full ranked list without the cut and a column marking ICP fit instead.
How does intent differ from visits to my site?
Intent data reflects research activity on a topic across the wider web attributed to a company, so it surfaces companies that have never visited your site. First-party visits can be layered on when you have them.
Can the email go to a distribution list?
Yes. Name the address and the full list is emailed there as a CSV each run.
Can I see last week's list beside this week's?
Yes. Each run is saved, and the agent can add a column showing whether a company was on last week's list and how its score moved.
