The problem this solves
A meaningful share of signups arrive from personal addresses. The person behind a Gmail signup may run procurement at a 2,000-person company, but the record says nothing except the address, so it is routed to nurture or ignored. Sales never sees the account, and marketing measures a channel as low-quality when the quality was simply hidden.
Resolving those signups is a people problem before it is a company problem: name plus any public profile identifies the person, the person identifies the employer, and the employer can then be enriched like any other company. Written into Attio with the person linked to the company, the signup becomes an account the team can score and work.
How the mission runs
- Select the personal-domain signups. The Enrichment Agent reads the attached CSV and keeps rows whose email domain is a consumer provider. Rows with a corporate domain are set aside, since the company is already implied by the address.
- Resolve each person to an employer. Using the name and any other fields - location, phone, a profile URL - people search identifies the person and their current employer. Matches are given a confidence level, and ambiguous names are flagged rather than assigned to the wrong company.
- Enrich the employer. Each identified employer is resolved to a domain and enriched with headcount, industry, HQ and detected technologies through the waterfall, so the account arrives in Attio ready to be scored.
- Write people and companies into Attio. People are created or updated in Attio with the personal signup address preserved and the work context added, and each is linked to its company record. The batch is reviewed before the write.
The prompt
This is the exact objective the agent receives. Swap the obvious placeholders for your own domain, segment or channel and run it as-is from the console, Slack, or the API.
What comes back
Attio records for every resolvable personal-domain signup: a person with their name, title, employer and the original signup address, linked to a company record enriched with headcount, industry, HQ and technologies. A report lists the signups resolved with confidence, those resolved tentatively and those that could not be matched, so nothing is written on a guess.
Make it yours
- Add a fit score per resolved company and post the high-fit signups to #sales.
- Find and verify a work email for each resolved person so outreach can move off the personal address.
- Point the same mission at HubSpot or Pipedrive contacts instead of a CSV.
- Route only signups that resolve to companies above a headcount floor, leaving smaller ones for nurture.
Frequently asked questions
How accurate is matching a person from a personal address?
It depends on how distinctive the name is and what other fields the signup carried. The agent assigns a confidence to each match and writes only confident matches by default, holding the rest for your review.
Is the personal address kept?
Yes, as the signup address on the person record; the work email, if found, is added as a separate field.
Can I run this continuously?
Yes. Schedule it against a signups export or a CRM view and only new signups are resolved each run.
What if the same person signed up with two personal addresses?
The rows are merged into one person in Attio with both addresses recorded, so the company is not created twice and the person's history stays in one place.
Can the resolved companies be scored?
Yes. Ask for a fit score against your ICP and each company record carries it, with the high-fit signups listed first in the report so sales can pick them up the same day.
Does it work for signups with only a first name?
Rarely with confidence. A first name and a consumer address seldom identify one person, so such rows are marked unresolved rather than matched to a guess, and the report counts them separately.
